God Is Able Update/Interruption

by Kathy

Grace Full Journey Friends,

I thought that I would be able to post God Is Able Devotional #6 yesterday, however, you may have noticed this hasn’t been done.  Unexpected interruptions this past week have resulted in me being a bit behind in my writing.   Here are a few things that come to my mind this morning as I think about interruptions:

1God is not concerned about how these interruptions affect my schedule, even if it has to do with ‘doing His work’.  He wants His will for my life, not my work for Him.  Romans 12:2 – “Do not be conformed to this world [this age], [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed [change] by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (AMP)

2.  God uses interruptions to chip away pride in our lives.  When I complain in my heart that I don’t need this interruption or want to put up with it, I can be pretty sure that I have a problem with self-importance!  James 4:10 – “Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will life you up and make your lives significant].”  (AMP)

3.  God uses interruptions to remind me that I am not in control of my life.  Psalm 27:23 – “The Lord directs the steps of the godly.  He delights in every detail of their lives.” (NLT)

I hope that God will use these words to encourage your heart today.  Next time God brings an interruption in to your daily life, offer up a worshipful response like this one – “I delight to do your will, O my God; yes! (Psalm 40:8a AMP)

Lord willing, I will return to posting God Is Able devotionals next Tuesday.  For right now, I am off to be a participate in God’s will for me today.

Love your grace to me!
