In the Waiting Room – Week 1 – Video

by Kathy

Welcome!  I am so excited to begin this In the Waiting Room Bible study with you!   Each Monday, I will send out a video lesson that should be about 10 minutes long.  In the video I will give an introduction to the Bible passage we will be studying for the week.

Today, we are going to begin in Psalm 5.  Find a comfy chair, grab your Bible, notebook and pen and let’s begin.   Before you listen to the video, I would love for to take a moment and read Psalm 5.  If you don’t have a Bible handy, click here for online version at Biblegateway.com.

By the way… I have included a cover to print for your notebook.  I love keeping my Bible study notes in 3-ring notebooks.  The covers help me to easily find the study that I am looking for when I want to go back to review a note.  Click on the underlined “cover to print for your noteboook” for your downloadable cover.

I can SO relate to David in this Psalm. The heart is so heavy and the longing is long. I feel as though those words were spoken out of my mouth. The longing for my path to be straight. For God to protect us from the evil that is all around and does not want us to succeed. May the Lord protect us all as we walk in obedience. May we seek Him daily for the way he would have us go.
May God protect you, Kathy, as you teach us.

    • Kathy says:

      Melissa,
I thought you would totally relate with this lesson. I pray that Tues/Thurs notes will encourage your heavy and longing heart. Praying for you! God is timing all this perfectly. Love you!

Kathy, I just want to thank you for your time to put together this study. Mary Morang (CABI) and I are best friends and she told me of your study. I am so thankful. God spoke to me in his perfect timing. I am thankful that what you went through ended up being positive. It is very obvious that God had more planned for you and that you were not done with His work. Have a blessed week. I pray that you reap many blessings as you have blessed me.

    • Kathy says:

Wow, when I saw what Psalm we were reading this week, I did the ugly cry. It is timely. Can’t wait for your notes, and to dig into it myself. Thanks so much for this! It is an answer to prayer in my own life, and my own seemingly endless waiting period…love you Kath!

    Hi Aunt Kathy
Thank you for putting together this study. We come just as we are yet through this study we are united, encouraged and blessed! I’m a bit late to the start, but so grateful to begin this journey. I feel like this study is written for me as I’m waiting through a season of harvest. Harvest is a time of anticipation, hard work, exhaustion, satisfaction and waiting. Not just for Eric as he farms, but also for me as I’m entering into a time where in essence I’m a “single” mom. I’m learning to be patient and to enjoy the wait time. It’s not easy, but I’m trying to be open and grow with each season of wait – planting and harvest. Thank you for your support and leadership.
    Love and miss you!!

    • Kathy says:

If you could only see my face right now, filled with delight at the honesty of your words and the opportunity I might have of pointing you to look to Christ during this time of waiting in your life! This study will help bridge the distance of so many miles to unite us! Please feel free to come just as you are… and leave us comments. My hope is for this site to be a place of women cheering each other on. I love and miss you deeply!
