In the Waiting Room – Week 1 – Thursday Study Notes

by Kathy

On Tuesday, we discussed two things that David thought about that change his attitude from one of discouragment to joy.  Today, I want to show you one more thing that David did in this passage that affected his thinking.   This was an intentional decision that he had to make.  Sometime between today and the end of your week, take your notes out again and think about what you have learned, how you have been challenged and what steps you are going to take to apply this in your own life.  Write your thoughts in the the “Week Review”.

I would love to hear your comments on what God is teaching you.

Spend some time today praising God for what you have learned this week.  Here is a song that I love that speaks about waiting.  I pray that your heart will be encouraged and challenged as you listen to it.

I will see you next Monday with another chapter in Psalm to study together.

Have a Grace Full Journey kind of weekend!

Hi Kathy! I just finished the study for the week and wanted to share that it has truly blessed me. It has been a source of refreshment and a swift kick in the pants too! I am reminded that I need to submit to God and CHOOSE to be joyful in the midst of my circumstances. I really needed that reminder! Thanks for being willing to be used by the Lord in this way. Have a wonderful weekend!

Funny. I started this week/study without a huge burden of “wait” on my heart, but have finished week rather burdened and quite literally having no where to go, but in need of full surrender and wait.

Most days on this journey I have been choosing to look beyond the moments and trust God for his will to be done. This week I have been attacked . I have to say that Psalm 5 has spoken to me. It reminds me to keepmy focus on God and his abilities to work all the details out that I can’t . My heart longs to be able to wait patiently. 🙂 e Thank you for your words Kathy.

A dear friend recommended your new web site to me, and I signed up and started this week – it is awesome! I needed something like this so badly. It has brought me a certain calm this week as I look at my journey in life with a new focus on the blessings I have received from God! I have listened to your message on my iPhone in the car during my morning commute to work, and it sets my focus for the day. I especially enjoyed the music you provided. Kathy, Thank You so much for your inspirational message. Looking forward to this wonderful journey with you.
God Bless, have a beautiful weekend!

    Kath,
I loved this song. It was totally unfamiliar to me. What a great song. Thanks for including music. Last week Michelle had a cancer scare with a chest x-ray. They found a spot. She is scheduled to have shoulder surgery this Thursday. They required another x-ray before doing the surgery. Two days of waiting were pretty stressful for her, and all of us. Praise God the second x-ray was clear and the surgery will happen this week. The timing of your devotionals could not have been more perfect.
