Truth Tuesday – God is Enough

by Kathy

God Is EnoughThis past Sunday, my heart was drawn to the words of a song we sang in church.  Every sentence declared something perfectly wonderful about God.  My heart was filled with joy as I worshipped God while singing.  After the service was over, the song kept repeating over and over in my head and I found myself singing it for the rest of the day.  Later in the evening, I opened my Bible and read scripture that pointed to the truth of the song’s words.  My heart was so blessed by this, I thought I would share the song with you this week…and the blessings I found in the words of it.

You (God) are good when there’s nothing good in meGive thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

You (God) are love, on display for all to seeThis is how God showed His love among us; He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4:9

You (God) are light when the darkness closes inThen spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

You (God) are hopeMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

You (God) have covered all my sin In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace Ephesians 1:7

You (God) are peace when my fear is crippling I am leaving you with a gift–peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

You (God) are true even in my wanderingBefore the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God. Psalm 90:2

You (God) are joy, you’re the reason that I singMy lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed. Psalm 71:23

You (God) are life, in You death has lost its stingHe himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24 / Oh death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

You (God) are more than my words will ever sayYours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:11

You (God) are Lord, all creation will proclaim that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11

You (God) are here, in your presence I’m made wholeYou will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

You are God – of all else I’m letting go And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. Mark 12:30

Light of the world forever reignThe Lord will reign forever. He will be your God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations. Praise the Lord! Psalm 146:10

When we stop to consider all the riches of His love, what else can we do but run into His arms, for HE IS ENOUGH!

Have a grace full week ~

Take a moment to listen to this song and worship God for who He is.

Thank you for these scriptures today Kathy. They are just what I needed for myself and to share with friends during the present time. They are words for strength, peace and encouragement in the midst of any circumstances.

      Kathy Briscoe,
I am praising God today for how He has used these words to minister to your heart and others. As I scheduled this blog to post I asked God to use these words to encourage hearts that needed to be reminded of these truths. I love hearing how God has answered my prayers. Wishing you a most blessed and peaceful day as you trust God in your current circumstances.
