Truth Tuesday – Remember to Be Still

After a hectic few days, consumed with a serious life event interruption, I couldn’t wait to grab a cup of coffee and just sit quietly this morning and read my Bible and pray.  My thoughts were going a thousand different directions as my mind quoted this verse – “Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10.  Ahhhhh…..big exhale!  I was reminded of exactly what I needed to be doing.  In the margin of my Bible, I had written some words a while back that I needed to remind myself of today.

  1. When you are still before God…you know God.
  2. When you are still before God…you realize He is still at work.  He does not need your work to succeed for His plan to succeed. (Honestly, He doesn’t!)
  3. When you are still before God…you know God has your future in His hands.
  4. When you are still before God…you will understand yourself better.  You get a glimpse of your life’s purpose through His eyes.
  5. When you are still before God…you realize your future is God’s memory.  And there you can have peace.

Perhaps these are just the words you need to hear today too.  Take a moment to become still and tell God you need Him.

Wishing you a  grace full week! ~
