Truth Tuesday – Exchanging an Anxious Heart for a Joyful Heart
by Kathy
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to focus all your energy and attention on a problem your are facing? Do you find yourself gazing at the situation to the point that you are anxious or fearful? I have been there quite a few times. I keep these statements of faith handy and read them, along with the scriptures noted, to remind me to trust God.
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever to believe that your work all things out for my good. (Romans 8:28)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever to fight this battle I am facing. (Exodus 14:14)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever to guide me through this difficulty. (Isaiah 42:16)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever to be my God who provides beyond my limitations. (Philippians 4:19)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever to have courage as I wait. (Joshua 1:9)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever that you hear me when I pray. (Psalm 91:15)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever to give me wisdom for the decision I must make. (Psalm 32:8; Isaiah 30:21)
- Jesus, I need to trust you more than ever for peace in my heart. (Psalm 29:11; Philippians 4:6-7)
You may want to write these down and keep them in a spot where you can refer to them the next time you need to exchange an anxious heart for a joyful heart.
Have a grace full week ~
