Truth Tuesday – He is Fighting For You, So Be Still

by Kathy

Exodus 14 14

On the days when I am feeling discouraged because I still don’t see the answer for something I have prayed for so long, or my heart is burdened for my loved ones, I have found great hope in these scriptures that remind me of God’s power, authority and sovereignty over my life and this world.

  1. He is powerful.  “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm.  Nothing is too hard for you.  Jeremiah 32:17
  2. He is our refuge.  “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.  He will drive out your enemy before you.” Deuteronomy 33:27
  3. He is strong.  “With your strong arm you scattered your enemies.  Your arm is endued with power, your hand is strong, your right hand exalted.” Psalm 89:10,13
  4. He saves.  “Behold the Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is his ear so dull that it cannot hear.”  Isaiah 59:1
  5. He brings victory.  “It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their army bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm and the light of your face, for you loved them.” Psalm 44:3
  6. He is our Shepherd.  “He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in HIs arms and carries them close to his heart, he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:11
  7. He redeems.  “I will redeem you with an outstretched arm.”  Exodus 6:6

Perhaps these verses are just what you need to remind yourself of today.  Know that He care for you…He loves you….He hears you…His Mighty arm is strong and He will fight for you…so just be still.

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.  Exodus 14:14
