In the Waiting Room – Week 3 – Tuesday Study Notes

by Kathy

How do you respond to your waiting?  Do you feel shaken?  Do you feel like you are going to come unglued?  In Psalm 15, David tells us that those who walk in integrity will not be shaken.  When our integrity is weak, we soften our standards.   When this happens, we are more prone to be tossed back and forth when the storms come into our life.  However, when we read God’s Word, obey it, and apply it to our everyday life, we are able to plant our feet on the solid foundation of God Almighty.  Here, we are not shaken, despite the circustances we face…no matter how long the wait.

Today and Thursday, we are going to look at Psalm 15 a little deeper.  We’ll discover in this passage that there are 10 characteristics that David uses to describe a person walking with integrity and enjoying an intimate relationship and fellowship with God.  While we are in the waiting room, we can and should be focussed on growing in our relationship with Christ and living a life that is pleasing to Him.

I am praying for you as you study this week.

How very true this Psalm is. I know I have not been very faithful at all in spending time with God and His Word lately and my how things seem to fall apart quickly and go crazy. Being intentional is so important becuase life loves to get in the way and take over.
